Another Major Change, Another Pivot

 About a year ago, a life-changing event occurred in my life; I sold my business.  No more worries about how the weather will affect the project, have we made payroll, or will there be enough people to get the job done now that deer hunting season has commenced.  What bliss.

On the other hand, what will I do now to occupy the hours previously dedicated to making sure the company met its obligations?  I am not ready for the tennis courts all day.

Time for another pivot in my life.  In fact, time to pursue something I always wanted to do, but something always got in the way, or I was pushed in a different direction by others.  I want to write.  I want to be a writer.

Like Chrissie Hynde said, I was in the middle of the road with my plans behind me.  Upon reflection, I realized most of the “plans” were plans made by others for me.  I will post more about them in the future, but for now, it is my choice of which path to take.

A novel is definitely in the mix, either contemporary or fantasy.  This blog is another avenue.  I also write a financial blog on the Motley Fool site.  Writing is becoming second nature.  Will just have to see where this road takes me.
